Abstract
The research aimed to identify and analyze situations of psychosocial risks which cause
musculoskeletal disorders to the IT employees, who perform tasks 100% sedentary and
with the full use of informational technologies, which involves office work and heavy computer use. Analyzing the data collected from interviews, several situations of physical and
psychosocial risks related to occupational safety and health to which IT employees are
exposed in the performance of their profesional activity were identified. Thus, there is a necessity to develop and implement psychosocial intervention programs that would provide
the development of skills and strategies to combat and prevent musculoskeletal disorders
in the workplace
