PROFESORUL NAUM A. NARȚOV (1894–1978) SAU ITINERARUL UNUI ISTORIC AVENTURIER

Abstract

Pe baza izvoarelor istorice inedite se prezintă aspecte din biografia privată, didactică și științifică a lui Naum Arianovici Narțov, primul doctor (habilitat) în istorie, profesor universitar din RSS Moldovenească. Având o biografie creată în autonomia moldovenească din stânga Nistrului și o activitate formată în refugiu în anii celui de-al Doilea Război Mondial, protagonistul articolului de față prezenta semnalmentele unui personaj „de perspectivă” în epocă. A activat ca șef al Catedrei de istorie a popoarelor din URSS și al Catedrei de istorie a Moldovei a Facultății de Is- torie a Institutului Pedagogic din Chișinău și ca șef al Secției de istorie a Moldovei la Institutul de Istorie, Limbă și Literatură a Bazei Moldovenești a Academiei de Științe a URSS. A elaborat proiectul primului manual de istorie a Moldovei. Cariera sa a fost însă rapid mușamalizată și compromisă, în mare parte din cauza campaniilor ideologice staliniste ale vremii, a „descoperirii” că „regele e gol” și a factorului subiectiv, care nu a umbrit scenariul profesional al acestui aventurier de epocă.On the basis of unpublished historical sources, are presented aspects of the private, didactic and scientific biography of Naum Arianovich Nartsov, the first doctor (habilitated) in history, university professor in the Moldovan SSR. With a biography created in the Moldovan autonomy on the left bank of the Dniester River and an activity formed in refuge during the years of the Second World War, the protagonist of the present article presents the signs of a character ,,of perspective” at the time. He served as head of the Department of History of the Peoples of the USSR and of the De- partment of History of Moldavia of the Faculty of History of the Pedagogical Institute in Chisinau and as head of the Department of History of Moldavia at the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Moldavian Base of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He drafted the first textbook on the history of Moldova. However, his career was quickly covered up and compromised, largely due to the Stalinist ideological campaigns of the time, the ,,discovery” that ,,the king is naked” and the subjective factor, which did not overshadow the professional scenario of this epochal adventurer.
