n this article we have proposed to examine the creation of decorative art craftsmen
and to review the work of craftsmen who used wood in their work to make ornaments. In the first
post-war decades, ornaments were mainly made of ceramics, cherry wood, mulberry, birch, apricot,
from which artisans made pendants, bracelets, necklaces, clasps. Through the exhibition catalogs, we
have documented several artisans who, within these time limits, opted for the creation of ornaments
from accessible raw materials. The decorative art craftsman Mihail Ceban (1909–1994), distinguished himself by making various wooden ornaments, as well as as a designer of wooden furniture.
