    CULTURᾸ ŞI DEZVOLTARE: CȂTEVA REFLECŢII PRIVIND AGENDA UNESCO MONDIACULT

    The MONDIACULT conference organized by UNESCO in 2022 made the promotion of “culture as a global public good” a priority of the international public policy agenda. This article aims to explore the meanings and implications of this interpretation of culture by focusing on the link between culture and development, with the help of Appadurai’s analysis of the „cultures of aspiration”. It concludes by arguing that genuine support for culture in the future should also give priority to education in the humanities, as these continue to be essential for our sensitivity to culture and critical thinking.

    DIMENSIUNI ALE EDUCAŢIEI ÎN OPERA LUI CONSTANTIN RĂ DULESCU-MOTRU

    As this year marks 140 years since the birth of Constantin Rădulescu-Motru, a scholar who had special interest to educational problems, this article analyzes his conceptions. The goal of his work, called Energetic Personalism, was to form one of the multilateral advanced personalities – the energetic personality. All this is achieved with hard work and moral, intellectual, professional education. It is a process that forms abilities in theoretical and practical aspects, fact that leads later to forming some real specialists and citizens.

    ESENŢA ŞI DESTINUL OMULUI – TEMĂ PRIORITARĂ DE REFLECŢIE ÎN FILOSOFIA ROMÂNEASCĂ

    Articolul dat este consacrat studierii concepţiilor unor mari gânditori români din sec. XIX–XX: Mihai Eminescu, Titu Maiorescu, Constantin Rădulescu-Motru, Constantin Noica, Lucian Blaga, Mircea Eliade, despre esenţa complexăa omului şi destinul său, mentalitatea omului modern, tendinţa de a se salva de teroarea istoriei, despre sistemul de valori care profilează specificul, sensul vieţii şi activităţii omului modern. Este argumentată teza că reflecţiile şi concluziile proeminenţilor noştri înaintaşi despre om ca unitate a sacrului şi profanului, ca fiinţă creatoare de culturăşi valori rămân actuale şi importante pentru procesul instructiv-educaţional contemporan.
