In this article are examined a number of issues during the eve and during the Russo-Turkish war of 1828-1829. Special attention was paid to classification characteristic and extraordinary benefits imposed by local Russian population of Bessarabia, the consequences of such benefits on the living standards; forms of protest, and claims, the population generated by the hardships of war.
