Lucrarea este consacrată unei dintre cele mai
stringente probleme globale și anume originea biodiversității moderne a unei grupe sistematice
importante (Mammalia, Ruminanta, Cervidae) din zona palearctică de vest și evoluția
biodiversitații sub influența scimbărilor climatice.
Aim: Revise the taxonomy of fossil deer from the Late Miocene to the Late Pleistocene in
the Western Palearctic to uncover phylogenetic relationships between fossil and modern cervids,explore their evolutionary and ecological diversification.
