    Modificările statutului hormonal al glandei tiroide în diabetul experimental pe fondalul administrării biopreparatului imunomodulator PHASC-5 [Articol]

    Biopreparatul imunomodulator PHASC-5 acționează statutul funcţional al glandei tiroide şi al pancreasului endocrin stabilind o dinamică a sintezei şi secreţiei hormonilor pancreatici şi tiroidieni. Astfel, biopreparatul posedă proprietăţi ce stimulează activitatea glandelor endocrine prin tendinţa de normalizare a hormonilor în sânge, având astfel un rol important în stoparea apariţiei complicaţiilor tiroidiene în diabetul experimental.

    The metabolic connection between diabetes mellitus and autoimmune hypothyroidism

    It is supposed that there is a connection between diabetes mellitus (DM) and autoimmune hypothyroidism (AIH). The aim of this study was to compare some biochemical blood parameters in experimental DM and AIH. The experiments were carried out on outbred white rats. DM was induced by feeding animals with a high-fat diet and a single injection of streptozotocin (35 mg/kg). AIH was induced by three subcutaneous injections of thyroglobulin(100μ/rat) and Freund's adjuvant. For the first injection complete adjuvant, for the second and third treatments, incomplete adjuvant was used on the sixth and seventh days after the first injection. Results show that level of insulin does not change but the level of thyroxine decreases slightly in diabetic rats. In rats with AIH the insulin level was sharply increase, but thyroxine level sharply decreased. Almost all blood parameters in rats with DM and AIH (some organic metabolites, activity of enzymes) were changed unidirectional. Analogical blood parameters shift in both diseases shows the metabolic ways of both autoimmune diseases intersect. This phenomenon should be taken in attention to understand the etiology of DM and AIH.

    IMPACTUL SPECIILOR BRASSICA OLERACEA ŞI HELIANTHUS ANNUUS CE CONŢIN TIOCIANAT ASUPRA STĂRII FUNCŢIONALE A GLANDEI TIROIDE

    Experimental research has demonstrated the likelihood of hypertrophy of the thyroid gland when laboratory rats are fed cabbage and sunflower seeds excessively. Thus, the syn thesis of thyroid hormones can be deregulated by blocking the capture of iodine, a process that can be influenced by the excessive consumption of vegetable products containing thiocyanate. Thiocyanate is capable of inhibiting the organization of iodine by blocking the iodination of thyroglobulin and the conjugation of iodotyrosines. Quantitative sources of goitrogenic thi ocyanates are some species of vegetables with a high content of cyanogenic glycosides. The analysis of the concentration in the blood plasma of iodinated thyroid hormones demonstrated that thiocyanate reduces their synthesis and secretion.

    IMPACTUL SPIRULINEI CRESCUTE PE APE REZIDUALE ASUPRA STĂRII FUNCŢIONALE A GLANDEI TIROIDE PE FONDALUL DIABETULUI EXPERIMENTAL

    Biopreparatul cercetat acționează benefic asupra proceselor de sinteză a hormonilor în cadrul organismului şi prezintă efecte biostimulatoare asupra celulelor – β ale insulelor Langerhans din pancreasul endocrin, paralel sporind secreția insulinică, tiroxinică şi triiodotironinică, menținând astfel homeostazia metabolică în organism. Investigațiile realizate au evidențiat aspectele pozitive ale biopreparatului asupra glandelor endocrine cercetate pe fondalul diabetului experimental.

    INTERRELAŢIIA GLANDEI TIROIDE A PANCREASULUI ENDOCRIN ÎN DIABETUL EXPERIMENTAL PE FUNDALUL ADMINISTRĂRII TINCTURII DE PROPOLIS

    Analizând datele experimentale privind acţiunea tincturii de propolis asupra statutului funcţional al glandei tiroide şi al pancreasului endocrin, a fost stabilită o dinamică a sintezei şi secreţiei hormonilor pancreatici şi tiroidieni. Astfel, tinctura de propolis posedă proprietăţi ce stimulează activitatea glandelor endocrine prin tendinţa de normalizare a hormonilor în sânge, având astfel un rol important în stoparea apariţiei complicaţiilor în diabetul experimental.
