Item ECOLOGIZAREA CONȘTIINȚEI - UN IMPERATIV AL SOCIETĂȚII CONTEMPORANE(Print-Caro, 2023) Plop, Larisa; Roșca, CristinaEcological problems that humanity faces today, such as environmental pollution, the limitation of natural resources and reserves, demographic growth, global warming, pandemics, etc., which threaten our existence today, force society to form a system of knowledge broad and complex regarding the integrity of nature, namely the unity between the economic, social and natural system. Overcoming the environmental crisis in which humanity finds itself today certainly requires modernization, which provides for the ormation of the respective skills, value orientations, conduct and activity that would ensure a responsible attitude towards nature, based on ecological culture. The formation of ecological culture is a specific activity in the formation of eco - personality, oriented towards the harmonization of relations with the environment, when the consciousness, behavior and activity of man is affirmed on the principle of responsibility towards nature, on the conception of nature as a factor of the physical and mental health of the personality. Article reflects the importance of greening the population and ecological education. This topic is approached with the aim of finding solutions to the problems faced by ecological education in the context of the greening of the population̕ s consciousness. That is why a way of life is necessary in which we are aware of the importance of everything that sur rounds us because the ecological crises are getting worse. In this context, an idea was born, a “shoot” project, which has given good results since 2015. The “NATURA A.S.A.” project pro posed for high school students, post-high school students, and students, in partnership with the “Dimitrie Brândza” Botanical Garden of the University of Bucharest, the Faculty of Biology proved to be an innovative and necessary idea. The purpose of the project was the organization of events and activities for the conservation of biodiversity and the formation of a healthy lifestyle. The methodology harmoniously combined components of a scientific, artistic, touristic, social, and sports nature, and the results obtained aimed at a useful and formative way of spending free time. In conclusion, ecological education is the premise for the development of the human being’s sense of responsibility in relation to everything that surrounds us.
