(CEP USM, 2024) Ciubuc, Natalia; Cocin, Alexandru
The role of urban green spaces in improving the quality of the urban environment and the cities adaptation to the climate changes was analyzed. An extensive bibliographic study was carried out, the contributions of green spaces in mitigating the effects of global environmental changes were evaluated, principles for the design of sustainable and resilient green spaces were highlighted and plant species capable of mitigating negative effects were recommended. As cities face the challenges of urbanization and climate change, investing in urban green spaces is becoming a strategic imperative. Cities that prioritize green infrastructure not only mitigate the adverse effects of global environmental change, but also promote resilient, vibrant and healthier urban environments for current and future generations.

INFLUENȚA FACTORILOR FIZICI INTERNI ȘI EXTERNI ASUPRA RISCULUI EXPUNERII LA RADONUL REZIDENȚIAL ÎN CONDIȚIILE SCHIMBĂRILOR CLIMATICE
(CEP USM, 2024) Overcenco, Ala; Coreţchi, Liuba
The influence of internal and external physical factors on the risk of residential radon exposure under climate change. Climate change may intensify radon migration into homes, increasing health risks. Energy efficiency strategies may contribute to indoor radon accumulation, especially during winter and summer when homes are sealed to maintain thermal comfort balance. Studies from various regions of the world show that meteorological factors influence indoor radon concentration directly or indirectly. Collecting meteorological data simultaneously with indoor radon measurements and studying their relations is essential for understanding these interactions and developing strategies for prevention and adaptation of public health system to future climate. Based on international experience, the methodology for evaluating the influence of meteorological factors on the risk of exposure to radon in a regional aspect was developed.

REVIEW OF THE RECENT FINDINGS ON THE ICHTHYOFAUNA OF THE PRUT RIVER, REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
(CEP USM, 2024) Bulat, Dumitru; Bulat, Denis; Zubcov, Elena; Bileţchi, Lucia; Şaptefraţi, Nicolae; Ene, Antoaneta; Patriche, Neculai
The investigations carried out in 2010-2022 in the Prut River basin within territorial limits of the Republic of Moldova revealed an ichthyofaunistic diversity consisting of 62 species from 13 orders and 22 families, of which 14 species are considered endemic to the Danube basin. A new species was identified in the Prut River in 2010 – Gymnocephalus baloni (Holcík & Hensel, 1974). Later, in 2015, the species Benthophilus nudus (Berg, 1898) was recorded for the first time in the Prut River, and in 2022 – Rutilus virgo (Heckel, 1852). The obvious biological progression of Gobiidae species in last decades is an alarming sign related to the stability of native ichthyocenoses. The analysis of the flow, spatial, trophic and reproductive preferences of fish denoted that most of species are eurytopic, benthic, omnivorous, lithophilous or phytophilous.
