The article presents the results of studies of rare plant species found on the territory of the ”Fetești” Landscape Reserve. There were 39 threatened species of vascular plants revealed, being positioned on different categories of rarity, 13 of which are included in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova (3rd ed.) and about 20 protected by the state.
The researches, which have been run between 2008 – 2014 in this reserve, have
resulted in the identification of a number of 823 taxa of superior plants, thus, underlining their
scientific importance. A special attention is paid to meadow species, which, in our opinion, grow and
develop in unfavourable conditions after building the Costeşti-Stînca dam. The vegetation is varied
and interesting, rich in geographic elements.
