Under conditions of increased water temperature caused
by global warming, the physiology of fish will change, there will be
changes in parasite-host relationships, where some fish with a wide
ecological valence may experience the negative impact of parasites
due to their large numbers, as well as with the emergence to new
species, such as Neoichthyophthirius schlotfeldti, with which there is
still no equilibrium in the parasite-host system.
