The research was performed for 2 years during hibernation period. There were identified 10 species of bats in 6 underground shelters. A great diversity was observed with a small number in some species. For the first time 3 underground shelters have been studied – Goianul Nou, Mașcăuți and Gordinești, a maternity colony was identified for the first time. A rare species M. myotis, has been identified for the first time after 50 years.
