Heat stress is a major challenge and is one of the main environmental stressors with substantial economic losses in the rabbit industry. Rabbits are more sensitive to heat stress, compared to other agricultural animals, because they have few sweat glands, and their body is covered with thick fur. Heat stress negatively influences the health of rabbits, their reproductive properties, growth and productivity, characteristics of rabbit products, antioxidant properties, immune response, histomorphology and intestinal microbiota. Currently, one of the real strategies for mitigating the unfavorable influences of heat stress can be the use of nutraceuticals with targeted properties in improving the development of the intestinal microbiota, enhancing antioxidant properties, stimulating the immune system, increasing the productivity and resistance of the rabbit's body to diseases, in the physiological maintenance of the chemical composition and biophysical characteristics of rabbit products. This article summarizes the recent information on the negative impact of increased temperatures on rabbits and the advantages of heat stress mitigation strategies.

IMPACTUL FACTORILOR ALIMENTARI ȘI METABOLICI ÎN REPRODUCEREA INDUSTRIALĂ A PĂSĂRILOR
(CEP USM, 2024) Petcu, Igor; Balan, Ion; Demcenco, Boris; Roşca, Feodora; Gramovici, Ana
For the economic efficiency of the poultry breeding industry, it is necessary to create and physiologically maintain the metabolism of the organism of the breeding flock according to the food variety. The main task of industrial poultry farming is the development and testing of bio logically active, economical and ecological feed substances that increase the reproductive pro perties and productivity of birds. One of the basic objectives in industrial poultry farming is to know, reveal and elucidate the biological, physiological and metabolic essence of the enhanced reproductive capacities of the parental stock. Thus, the effectiveness of industrial reproduction of birds is directly proportional to the development of technological, food and sexual disorders, which trigger interstitial metabolism dysfunctions. In this sense, great attention must be paid to the development and implementation of technologies capable of mitigating the consequences of metabolic dysfunctions. One of these approaches is systemic dietary, nutritional and pharma cological prophylaxis of metabolic disorders in birds of reproductive age.

INFLUENȚA MEDIULUI ZAHAROZĂ, DULCIT, ARGININĂ ȘI VITAMINA B6 PENTRU CONSERVAREA SPERMEI UMANE
(CEP USM, 2024) Cazacov, Iulia; Balan, Ion; Roşca, Nicolae; Buzan, Vladimir; Mereuța, Ion; Bucarciuc, Melania

(CEP USM, 2024) Balan, Ion; Drugociu, Dan Gheorghe; Roşca, Nicolae; Balacci, Sergiu; Buzan, Vladimir; Furdui, Vlada; Harea, Vasile; Hanțațuc, Alexei; Moroz, Mihail; Turcanu, Parascovia; Olaru, Iulia
Wild and domestic animal breeding programs, a vital insurance strategy to conserve the biodiversity of endangered species and to facilitate the field of research that offers solutions to many aspects of the biodiversity crisis. Reproduction is a particularly essential component of conservation, where the protection of life remains one of society’s highest priorities. When applying the biology of long-term or short-term preservation of preserved semen, it is necessary to take into account the specific aspects of cryobiology, or sperm dehydration, with the reco very of cellular and nuclear structures, being the major contributors, both to the preservation of biodiversity and How. to the development of reproductive sciences.Currently, advances in the preservation of reproductive cells and the creation of cryogenics of genetic resources offer decisive solutions in the maintenance of biodiversity, and their strategy depends on the amount and duration of storage of frozen semen for several generations to come.
