(CEP USM, 2024) Bacalov, Iurie; Crivoi, Aurelia; Chiriţa, Elena; Druţa, Adriana
Nutrition occupies a particularly important role in the life of every human being, given the fact that food is one of the main sources of energy necessary for the vital activity of the body. Food is the main source from which the body acquires energy and material for growth and renewal. Thanks to food, the body not only survives, but can also maintain its homeostasis, while the lack of food or disturbances in the diet lead to the weakening of the body, the appearance of various diseases and, finally, biological death. The basic factors of rational nutrition are provided by the correct diet. Irrational nutrition deregulates the metabolism and causes functional disorders of the digestive organs, the cardiovascular system and the central nervous system. The negative consequences of irrational eating are more evident in children, the elderly, pregnant and lactating women, and in the sick. Therefore, in order to maintain a normal growth and development of children, to preserve health and high work capacity, it is necessary to respect the diet and use food rich in proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, mineral substances and vitamins.
