Our research has shown that seed quality is critical to achieving high
garlic yields. Peripheral cloves are of better quality than internal ones (mass ratio
60:40%). It has been established that the use of cloves for planting from different
places without mass calibration leads to different bulb ripening periods, which
complicates the harvesting process and leads to a deterioration in the quality of garlic.
Sorting according to use for planting uniform garlic cloves ensures uniform plant
development, simultaneous bulb ripening and high product quality.
