The process of ever increasing economic and technological interdependence across national economies has transformed investments into a common international business. Republic of Moldova, as well as other central and Eastern European states, has a series of objective and subjective that nurtures its interest towards investments, especially towards foreign direct investments (FDI). This landscape presents the quantitative and qualitative indicators of FDI analysis.Item PARTICULARITĂŢILE CRIZEI ECONOMICE MONDIALE DIN 2007-2009 ŞI PROBLEMA RELANSĂRII ECONOMIEI REPUBLICII MOLDOVA(CEP USM, 2011) Enicov, Igor; Capsîzu, ValeriuThe present article examines the evolution and essence of the world economic crisis, as well as the specifics and means to overcome the economic crisis in Republic of Moldova. The author describes the factors that triggered the crisis within the financial sector in the developed countries, and the spread of such to the real sector and to the countries in course of development. The author highlights the systemic, structural and global features of the current world crisis; estimates the prospective of the economic evolution under the global perspective and under the angle of Republic of Moldova. The article reserves an important share to the analysis of the causes, peculiarities, factors and means to overcome the economic crisis in Republic of Moldova. The main conclusion states that the severity of the economic crisis in Republic of Moldova is determined by the specifics of the created economic model – the appreciated rate of the national currency (leu of Republic of Moldova), the increased role of the work force export, and the profits created on basis of the immigrants' remittances.
