Sustainability must be analyzed and evaluated in the context of five crises and transitions: 1) geopolitical transition; 2) energy transition; 3) climate transition; 4) demographic and medical transition; 5) technological transition. In this sense, we introduce the concept of multiple crises to reconfigure, in a transdisciplinary manner, the three aspects of sustainable development: resilience, viability, and disaster/crisis. By understanding the dynamics of sustainability, we can identify the types of strategies and ongoing development that could be implemented through technology, science, education, state regulations, and entrepreneurship. The concept of sustainable development, formulated by the UN in the 1980s, is insufficient in providing a comprehensive solution for addressing more sustainable development and ecological issues. Therefore, the authors propose a new perspective and approach to the concept through the transdisciplinary paradigm.Item EVOLUȚIA IMPLEMENTĂRII EFICIENȚEI ECOLOGICE ÎN REPUBLICA MOLDOVA(CEP USM, 2023) Macari, Dragoș; Cișlari, AnnaEcological efficiency is a concept for optimizing the impact of economic activity on the environment while ensuring minimal costs throughout the value chain. Its implementation in the Republic of Moldova started with a certain delay compared to Western countries due to the deterioration of the ecological state and the worsening of the situation in the energy sector. The application of eco-efficiency principles has found its reflection in policy documents related to the development of the "green" economy and the circular economy. Starting with 2019, the massive launch of projects aimed at greening the activity of economic agents and solving the waste problem began. In the same way, we consider the activity of popularizing ecological culture and the circular economy as important.Item ECONOMIA CIRCULARĂ – STRATEGIA SUSTENABILĂ ZERO DEȘEURI PENTRU REPUBLICA MOLDOVA(CEP USM, 2022-09-27) Rusu, ElenaThis article aims to trace the circularity of waste from collection to recycling, but also to identify best practices in the organization of selective waste collection, as well as existing intelligent solutions that will allow the optimisation of processes within the waste management system. The hypothesis of th e proposed article is that, during the transition to the circular economy model, a new ecosystem will be formed, favorable for the development of innovative entrepreneurship and innovative companies.Item EFICIENȚA ECOLOGICĂ - CONDIȚIE A DEZVOLTĂRII DURABILE ENVIRONMENTAL EFFICIENCY - A CONDITION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT(CEP USM, 2022) Caprian, Iulia; Macari, Dragoș; Lom, Ionuț - ValentinSustainable development represents a complex of measures related to satisfying current human needs while respecting the principles of preserving the environment and the rational exploitation of resources. The main objective of sustainable development is the harmonious combination of economic growth, social responsibility, and respect for the environment. Sustainable development aims to meet humanity's current needs without jeopardizing future generations' opportunities. An effective solution to promoting sustainable development is the establishment of the green economy, which promotes the concept of the responsible attitude of humanity towards natural resources and finds the rational compromise between increasing the prosperity of the growing global population and preserving natural resources. One of the ways to achieve a green economy is through the implementation of ecological efficiency related to the optimization of the use of material resources with a minimal negative impact on the environment. A particular direction of the application of eco-efficiency is the establishment of the circular economy, which tends towards the rationalization of the use of resources and the limitation of the negative effects of the production of goods on the environment.Item ASPECTELE FINANCIARE ALE ECONOMIEI CIRCULARE(CEP USM, 2022) Filip, AngelaA large number of experts have recently come to the conclusion that the circular economy has become a symbol of progressive civilization and of the plea for the rational use of resources. This aims to change the classic (linear) model of the economy, insisting on products and services capable of substantially reducing waste and environmental pollution. The circular economy presupposes a particular system of thinking and human activity, a particular culture of consumption and production, and maximum rationality. Specialists in the examined field consider the implementation of the circular economy model in the largest part of the world's countries towards the year 2030 a vital necessity at the global level. Apart from the economic effects and the reduction of pollution in important proportions, this can result in substantial additional profits. One of the conditions for these economic transformations is the respective adjustment of banking and investment activity. Following the study of the different opinions of researchers in the addressed field, as well as the statistical, economic and financial trends published in different informational sources, this article comes with a synthetic picture of the financial aspects of the circular economyItem INDICATORII DEZVOLTĂRII DURABILE ȘI NECESITATEA UNEI NOI ABORDĂRI ÎN CONTEXT NAȚIONAL(2021) Ganea, Victoria; Ţurcan, Rina; Ţurcan, IuliuThe actuality of the research is determined by humanity's fundamental need for the transition to sustainability, argued by the development of solid and effective means to address a growing number of sustainability challenges. The need is also argued at national level by the fact that the implementation of strategic prerogatives requires the argumentation of the activity through calculations and estimates of a concrete set of indices and indicators that will demonstrate the preparation for sustainable development. The objective of the study is to analyze modern interpretations of sustainable development and the opportunity to apply sustainability indicators in the conditions of the national economy. The research approach is of a theorized type, as it focuses on the aspect of arguing the opportunity to apply sustainable development indicators in the context of the Republic of Moldova. The results obtained confirm that this paper is part of the flow of publications that argue, from a theoretical and empirical point of view, the key role played by sustainability indicators in the sustainable development of
