    The article focuses on sustainable public procurement with respect to its environmental ramifications and its potential in addressing social issues. Drawing on an array of scientific research, reports from international bodies, and legislative documents, alongside a review of global practices in sustainable procurement, the authors articulate the various reasons why public procurement is pivotal to sustainable development. They delve into the necessary legislative and policy frameworks that underpin procurement activities and the financial mechanisms that support them. Key to the successful enactment of sustainable procurement are the political determination, the business and stakeholder recognition of its benefits, and the backing from governmental entities in terms of both fiscal and methodological guidance, as well as informational support for those engaged in public procurement.

    In recent decades, the concern for the problems of environment and sustainability has grown significantly, and sustainable public procurement has become a global priority. Inefficient use of resources and lack of waste control globally have a negative impact on the environmental footprint. The ecological debt to the planet is increasing, which means that humanity has exhausted environmental resources before they can be replenished. Thus, the analysis and development of sustainable public procurement are essential to build a sustainable future.

    Electric cars are becoming more popular in the Republic of Moldova. There are multiple advantages to promote the use of electric cars in the Republic of Moldova, including low consumption, reduction of CO2 emissions in the transport sector and ensuring a cleaner environment in densely populated localities in the country. At present, there is already a charging infrastructure for electric cars and with significant growth potential in the coming years. At the same time, the purchase of an electric car is already coupled with some tax benefits, such as the lack of application of import excise duties and the lack of tax for road use. Promoting the use of electric cars must also be coupled with the use of electricity from renewable resources

    ACHIZIȚIILE PUBLICE DURABILE - FACTOR IMPORTANT AL GESTIUNII EFICIENTE A BANULUI PUBLIC

    This article examines the issues of efficient management of public funds through the application of sustainable public procurement. A large share of the acquisitions in European countries is public procurement, the state being a major consumer. Efficient management of public money can be achieved through sustainable public procurement, taking into account additional factors for obtaining social, environmental and economic benefits. In 2016 the Republic of Moldova, having ratified the Government Procurement Agreement of the World Trade Organization, has begun the introduction of the sustainable component to reduce the impact on the environment. Research results show that sustainable public procurement contributes to streamlining the management of public money.

    ANALYSIS OF THE PERCEPTION OF SUSTAINABLE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA USING DATA MINING TECHNOLOGIES

    Awareness of the importance of sustainable public procurement requires the search for the best solutions to strengthen the practice of public procurement in the Republic of Moldova. However, before that, it is important to assess the perception of sustainable public procurement in public institutions and authorities at the current stage in the Republic of Moldova. This research is concentrating on the analysis of this perception by using the questionnaire method and by processing of answers using data mining technologies. Following the analysis of the processed data, it was found that there is no single perception regarding the understanding of the concept of sustainable public procurement in public institutions and authorities in the Republic of Moldova.
