În ciuda contribuției sale la creșterea economică, dezvoltarea sectorului turistic poate fi împiedicată de o serie de obstacole de natură diferită, care pot afecta competitivitatea acestui sector. Printre acestea am putea specifica, sănătatea și igiena în turism, care reprezintă o asigurare a condițiilor pentru menținerea sănătății publice și pentru ca turiștii să se simtă mai în siguranță, iar destinațiile turistice să devină mai competitive. În acest context, scopul acestui studiu este de a analiza importanța și relația dintre sănătate și igienă și competitivitatea destinațiilor. Astfel, s-a pus accentul pe aspectele care contribuie la creșterea competitivității turismului și pe sănătatea și siguranța călătorilor. Prin intermediul indicelui de competitivitate turistică, au fost evidențiate criteriile care dețin o poziție dominantă în asigurarea condițiilor favorabile pentru turiști. Rezultatele arată că sănătatea și igiena sunt piloni importanți care măsoară competitivitatea destinației. Analiza indică o corelație pozitivă între pilonul sănătate și igienă și competitivitatea generală.Item ANALYZING FARM COMPETITIVENESS: AN EXAMINATION OF POST-INVESTMENT SUBSIDIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA(CEP USM, 2024) Batereanu, Lucia; Cimpoeș, Dragoș; Herzfeld, ThomasIn today’s rapidly changing economic landscape, the importance of a farm’s competitiveness is more critical than ever, serving as a decisive factor for the survival and prosperity of firms. The Republic of Moldova’s agricultural sector holds a crucial role while remaining highly vulnerable to various influences. The Government relies on subsidies administered by the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) to enhance the sector’s growth and competitiveness. This paper conducts a comparative analysis between subsidy recipients and non-recipients. It aims to examine the impact of post-investment subsidies on farms’ competitiveness using data from a survey conducted in the summer of 2021, which included 685 farms. The competitiveness of the farm businesses on the markets was assessed through self-assessment questions included in the survey, shedding light on the challenges faced by farms, including issues related to product prices, price stability, and competition from other producers. The analysis provides insights into the interrelationship between post-investment subsidies and farms’ competitiveness in Moldova.Item INNOVATION IN BUSINESS AS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE(2024) Jomir, EudochiaThe objective of this study is to increase the understanding of the concept of innovation in business as one of the most important ways of achieving competitive advantage. As research methods were used: monographical, analogical, rating methods, etc. The authors concluded that in order to achieve sustainable economic growth and to increase the international competitiveness of the Republic of Moldova it is necessary to make investments in innovative products, research and, as well as, in a good development of infrastructure for innovative products.Item GLOBAL TRENDS AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN PERIPHERAL AREAS(Routledge, 2020) Ianioglo, Alina; Rissanen, MarkoThe article reveals main tourism trends after the pandemic and analyses the potential for tourism development on the example of the city of Kemi, located in Finnish Lapland. In current conditions of unprecedented health and economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, fast developing technology, shift in customer preferences and climate change, it is important to quickly adjust and respond to the new realities in order to ensure a sustainable development at the regional level. This is especially relevant in Lapland, where tourism is a strategically important sector of the economy. The article aims at identifying main tourism trends in post-lockdown era caused by COVID-19 pandemic and determining the potential for regional tourism development of peripheral areas on the example of the city of Kemi. Based on the conducted analysis of recent literature; analysis of statistical data; qualitative sociological study, three priority groups of actions were recommended: enhancing visibility in the market, strengthening image of the city, and developing facilities in the city. Besides the fact that achieved results are important for further research, developed priorities can lead to the development of tourism in the city, attraction of new investments, creation of new jobs and thus development of the economy.Item PROMOVAREA VALORILOR EPOCII CUNOȘTINȚELOR: DE LA TEORIE LA PRACTICĂ(Academia de Administrare Publică, 2019) Gribincea, Alexandru; Habashi, Manal; Gribincea, Alexandru.A.Values are not something that can be bought or sold, they are something worth living for. The most important function of social values is to play the role of selection criteria from alternative modes of action. The multifactorial nature of innovative development of education is thus revealed. Special attention is paid to knowledge management and to strategic model for the formation of professionals. At present, a new economy is clearly emerging, a knowledge and economy-based economy, a knowledge economy where the key to prosperity and job creation is the degree of implementation of new concepts, the ideas of innovation and technology in all sectors of the economy, as well as the protection of the environment. Competitivitatea ridicată, diversificarea gamei de produse, dar şi modalitatea de stabilire a principalelor pieţe de desfacere sunt doar câteva condiţii care ar conduce la eficientizarea managementului comercial în sectorul agroalimentar. În scopul eficientizării managementului comercial în sectorul agroalimentar, autorii au aplicat o modalitate prin intermediul căreia managerii îşi pot spori performanţele privind comercializarea produselor agroalimentare.
