The paper is a reflection on the events of the last year that continue to influence the higher education system in the Republic of Moldova, as well as on the radical changes that may take place in the near future. It also deals with the subject of changes in the development of information technologies, which in the context
of the current pandemic are implemented in all areas of activity in order to overcome self-isolation. In these conditions of uncertainty, there are multitude of scenarios that can be applied in the development of the education system, which can become strategies for implementing various real actions for further development. The paper proposes several strategies towards the development of education and the improvement of the professional level of teachers, where ICT is not only treated as a subject of study, but also as a tool that leads to the improvement of the
educational process.
