Agriculture is the main sector of the economy of Moldova. The agricultural production suffered an impressive
decrease in the last years comparing with the ’70 years of XX century. Due to the fact that the agricultural sector is not
sustainable, the Moldavian products are not competitive on the external markets. The main purpose of decision makers
is to find solutions in order to overcome the agricultural crisis. The crisis phenomenon in the agrarian sector has its turn
it, is connected to the transformation as a complex of system changes. That’s why an accurate agricultural policy is the
basis for the perspective development of the country, in order to overcome the crisis the main requirement for accessing
the EU market.
