The economic dimension has a great importance in the national security. Although, if we tackle the economic dimension, it is very important to take into consideration all opportunities, risks and provocations offered by the dimension. In this article the author explains the importance of economic dimension in different economic conditions:
capitalist or in conditions of systemic transformation (for instance, in Republic of Moldova). The author considers that very important is to start the analyses of economic security with individual security that can be consumer or producer.
