    Progresul rapid al noilor tehnologii a introdus umanitatea într-o nouă eră, denumită „Era Digitală”. Digitalizarea a pătruns în toate sferele vieții, inclusiv în domeniile economic și social, și a modificat semnificativ natura muncii pentru indivizi, inclusiv pentru organele de aplicare a legii. Cu toate acestea, pe de altă parte, dezvoltarea tehnologiilor informaționale reprezintă și o modalitate mai ușoară de a comite infracțiuni. Infracțiunile cibernetice, s-au proliferat, iar legislația noastră nu este adaptată cerințelor acestor noi avansuri tehnologice.

    Există consens de a combate traficul de migranți în era digitală? [Articol]

    The article analyses the criminal legislation of the Republic of Moldova in relation to international standards for the protection of migrants’ rights. The article is an attempt to strike a balance between migrants’ access to privacy and the public interest in combating smuggling of migrants in the digital age. The search for consensus arises in response to the question of the extent to which the judicial act will have a higher level of legitimacy when the state has the broad margin of appreciation to assess the interference in the migrant’s private life in the internet.

    The topicality of the researched theme resides in the idea of presenting the contemporary problems encountered in the process of protecting personal data in the digital age. Privacy and security are at the heart of civil rights from which all other human rights and freedoms derive, and the digital age is in full swing, so the challenges and future directions for the development of this subject need to be addressed.
