    R. Moldova și parteneriatul estic – activități de protecție a mediului înconjurător

    The Eastern Partnership, launched in 2009, is aimed at strengthening the political association and economic integration of six partner countries of Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The policy of the Eastern Partnership after 2020 provides for increased sustainability – the Eastern Partnership, which gives results for everyone. Communication presents five policy objectives, including environmental sustainability and climate resilience. The Republic of Moldova carries out joint actions with specialized EU institutions, in particular with the European Environment Agency in the field of environment and climate policy. With regard to climate policy, Moldova's cooperation with the EU provides for measures at the national, regional and international levels, including in the following areas: climate change mitigation and adaptation to climate change. As of February 2022, the Republic of Moldova participates in the EU4 Environment Water Resources and Environmental Data regional program, which aims to improve the health and well-being of citizens by achieving Sustainable Development Goals. At the sixth Eastern Partnership Summit, held on December 15, 2021 in Brussels, the joint declaration of the Eastern Partnership Summit "Recovery, Sustainability and reforms" was adopted, which in page 16 was devoted to several issues of the environment and climate change. On November 19, 2008, taking into account the Commission's proposal of December 15, 2021, the Directives of the European Parliament and of the Council on Environmental Protection through Criminal Law and the replacement of Directive 2008/99/EC (COM(2021)0851), as well as the accompanying communication (COM (2021) 0814), Directive 2008/99/EC of the European Parliament and the Council for Environmental Protection through criminal law, establishing minimum standards for environmental protection (COM). through criminal law.
