Item IRON(III) COMPLEXES WITH DITOPIC MACROCYCLES BEARING CROWN-ETHER AND BIS(SALICYLIDENE) ISOTHIOSEMICARBAZIDE MOIETIES(2023) Arion, Vladimir; Palamarciuc, Oleg; Șova, Sergiu; Novițchi, Ghenadie; Rapta, PeterThe main aims of this work were the synthesis and characterization of iron(III) complexes with a ditopic ligand H2L consisting of a bis(salicyl- idene)isothiosemicarbazide moiety with a N2O2 binding site and a crown-ether (O6) moiety. A series of high-spin iron(III) complexes, i.e., [FeIIILClBa(CH3OH)(H2O)0.5(ZnCl4)] (1), [FeIIILCl] (2), [FeIIIL(N3)] (3) and [(FeIIIL)2O] (4), were synthesized. The complexes were characterized by mass spectrometry, IR and UV–Vis spectroscopy, variable temperature (VT) mag- netic susceptibility measurements, Mössbauer spectroscopy, single crystal X-ray diffraction and cyclic voltammetry.Item COMPLEXAREA TIOSEMICARBAZONEI 2-METIL-1HIMIDAZOL-4-CARBALDEHIDĂ CU IONII DE CUPRU(II) ÎN SOLUŢII APOASE(CEP USM, 2024) Sratulat, Elena; Sîrbu, Angela; Palamarciuc, OlegThe interactions of Cu(II) ions with thiosemicarbazone 2-methyl-1H-imidazole-4-carbaldehyde (Hl) have been studied by uV-Vis method. The metal to ligand ratio in the complexes was determined using two methods, mole ratio and continuous variation. Hl forms yellow coloured 1:1 complex with copper(II) ions with λ max = 375 nm, which remains stable at the pH range 3,34- 4,15. Raportul molar de combinare metal:ligand a fost determinat folosind două metode: metoda raporturilor molare și metoda variațiilor continue. NaH2L formează cu ioni de nichel(II) un complex de culoare galbenă cu raportul de combinare metal:ligand = 1:1, la λ max = 374 nm și rămâne stabil în domeniul de pH 5,80 – 6,60. Dependența absorbanței complexului studiat de concentrația ionilor de nichel(II) este o dependență liniară în domeniul de concentrații 6,0∙10-5 M – 1,1∙10-4 M.
