    The research below attempts to assess the impact of cooperation between beneficiaries and social workers on the efficiency and quality of social services. The article focuses on improving communication, trust and mutual involvement, analyzing how these elements contribute to beneficiaries’ outcomes and satisfaction. The aim is to identify the most effective practices of communication and cooperation, thus offering new insights for the development of interventions and policies to improve the quality and efficiency of social services.

    The article presents an analysis of social protection measures and services addressed to older persons in the Republic of Moldova. It was also identified that at the moment the need of older population in social or care services is not fully satisfied, and interventions are needed at the national level. Based on international experience, it was proposed to expand the spectrum of social services.

    MODERNIZATION OF SOCIAL SERVICES IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA – KEY FACTOR TO AN EFFECTIVE SYSTEM OF SOCIAL WORK

    The author makes a critical analysis of the current sistem of social services, characterized by inadequate development, centering on intervention in difficult situations rather on prevention etc. The author analyzes Government steps taken in creating Integrated Sistem of Social Services, but promotes the necessity of modernizing this system by some concret action. In conclusion the author mentions that the Republic of Moldova is fully engaged in the process of adjusting to European values and standards, the reform of social services being in this context one of the most important.
