    Current scientific concerns regarding adolescent mental health support [Articol]

    This article presents a theoretical analysis highlighting the importance of adolescent mental health, particularly in the context of the growing prevalence of un diagnosed psychological disorders that pose a significant public health challenge. Adolescents are increasingly vulnerable to mental health difficulties due to a range of risk factors, including domestic violence, bullying, and socioeconomic disparities. These conditions frequently manifest as depression, anxiety, behavioral disorders, and suicidal thoughts, with suicide being one of the leading causes of death in this age group. The analysis emphasizes the role of educational institutions in facilitating early intervention through the implementation of evidence-based psychoeducational programs that promote mental health literacy. The proposed approach advocates for the integration of comprehensive educational and social policies that incorporate mental health literacy strategies aimed at both students and educators.

    Studiu aplicativ al dimensiunilor psihologice funcționale în manifestarea comportamentelor alimentare la adolescenți și tineri [Articol]

    Studiul investighează conexiunile dintre dimensiunile psihologice (depresie, anxietate, stres, stimă de sine) și comportamentele alimentare ale adolescenților și tinerilor, folosind instrumente de psihodiagnostic validate. Obiectivele cercetării sunt multiple: analiza teoretică și empirică a factorilor psihologici implicați în comportamentele alimentare, identificarea tendințelor actuale în rândul adolescenților și tinerilor, precum și selectarea și validarea instrumentelor de evaluare psihologică adecvate. Metodologia folosită integrează analize teoretice și empirice, utilizând scale psihometrice precum DASS, EDDS, testul stimei de sine și testul atitudinilor față de alimentație și altele, combinate cu analize statistice și calitative pentru a oferi o înțelegere detaliată a subiectului.

    The impact of emotional intelligence and socio-demographic factors on the coping mechanisms used by adolescents

    The main objectives of this study were to investigate the relationship between the emotional intelligence of adolescents and the coping strategies used by them, as well as to determine the socio-demographic factors that have an impact on these coping mechanisms. The research sample included a number of 220 teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17, of which 100 from the urban environment, and 120 from the rural environment. The „Diagnosis of emotional intelligence” test developed by N. Hall, the Friedman Maturity Scale and the Cognitive-Emotional Coping Questionnaire CERQ were used as research tools. The main results conclude that adolescents with a high level of emotional intelligence especially use adaptive coping mechanisms - refocusing on planning, positive reassessment, positive refocusing and putting events into perspective and are less likely to use maladaptive coping mechanisms - self-blame, catastrophizing, rumination and blaming others. It was also found that socio-demographic factors influence differently the use of cognitive-emotional coping mechanisms.

    Value orientations of adolescents from the perspective of psychosocial factors

    This article presents some of the authors’ conceptions of values and value orientations. We note that the given paper contains only a sequence of the research carried out on the subject of „Emotional intelligence and value orientations in adolescents” in which value orientations are described in accordance with the results obtained following the administration of the Value Orientations Test, developed by M. Rokeach. This tool determines two types of values, namely: terminal values, represented by ideals or goals, and instrumental values, designated by modes of conduct. The experimental group consists of 341 teenagers. Taking into account that internalization of values promoted by the sociocultural context in which adolescents live is dependent on several factors, we considered it necessary to identify the value orientations of adolescents from the perspective of psychosocial factors: gender, environment of origin. The analysis of the results of the descriptive statistics shows differences both in the male/female subjects and in the subjects from the urban/rural environment, for the terminal value orientations and instrumental value orientations.

    Axiological availability and desirability. Comparative study between moldovan immigrant adolescents in Italy and moldovan adolescents in the Republic of Moldova

    Nowadays, in common parlance, values are the ideals towards which individuals strive and which guide their existence. Despite the variety of disciplines and different theoretical-methodological approaches in which values are addressed, there seems to be a complete agreement between researchers, namely that values facilitate both understanding of human behavior, relationship of humans to society and their social interactions, as well as the comprehension of how they are generated in a certain society and culture, how they spread and change, along with the mechanisms that lead individuals to adopt some of them, rather than others. Thus, through this paper we will try to answer the following questions: „Is there a defined set of values that today’s adolescents adhere to?” and „How do values relate to each other in today’s young people?”. In this way, we tend to obtain a picture of the psychosocial adaptation of adolescents in the diaspora and in the Republic of Moldova, by assessing the discrepancy between the availability and desirability of life areas.

    ROLUL FACTORILOR SOCIO-FAMILIALI ÎN MANIFESTAREA COMPORTAMENTULUI DEVIANT LA ADOLESCENȚI

    Personalitatea este un sistem bio-psiho-socio-cultural, care se constitue, fundamental, în condiţiile existenţei şi activităţii, începând cu primele etape ale dezvoltării individului. Din punct de vedere psihologic și social, familia este cadrul determinant al formării de trăsături sau structuri în organizarea psihologică a subiectului. Fiecare ne naştem cu un potenţial uman care se valorifică şi se dezvoltă treptat, prin socializare şi asimilarea valorilor şi comportamentelor sub forma unei învăţări continue, atât din familie, cât și din societate.

    MANIFESTAREA SCHEMELOR COGNITIVE DEZADAPTATIVE LA ADOLESCENȚII CU DIABET ZAHARAT DE TIP 1

    În acest studiu ne-am propus să determinăm schemele cognitive dezadaptative în rândul adolescenților cu diabet zaharat de tip 1 și am examinat potențialul lor impact pentru indicele masei corporale, vârstă, hemoglobina glicata și durata bolii. Metode. Eșantionul a inclus 132 de adolescenți cu diabet zaharat de tip 1 internați în Institutul Mamei și Copilului (Chișinău, Republica Moldova). Chestionarul Young Schema-Short Form (YSQ-S3R) a fost folosit pentru a evalua schemele cognitive dezadaptative. Rezultate. Datele au arătat că adolescenții cu diabet zaharat de tip 1 au avut scoruri ridicate la o serie de scheme cognitive, inclusiv autosacrificiul, căutarea aprobării/ recunoașterii, standarde nerealiste/hipercriticism și negativitate/ pasivitate. Mai mult, rezultatele au susținut o corelație semnificativă dintre schemele cognitive, indicele de masă corporală, durata bolii și hemoglobina glicata. Concluzii. Profesioniștii din domeniul medical și din domeniul sănătății mintale pot găsi aceste rezultate utile pentru evaluarea, tratamentul și obiectivele de prevenire a diabetului zaharat de tip 1.

Studiul este comparativ, rezultatele obținute fiind comparate cu cele ale adolescenților care nu se află în conflict cu legea.

    The article presents the results of research on perfectionism and eating disorders in adolescents. The obtained results allowed the analysis of the peculiarities of perfectionism and eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia) in adolescents, depending on gender and level of education. At the same time, the relationship of interdependence between perfectionism and eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia) in adolescents was investigated.

    Aggressive behavior in adolescents is a phenomenon that continues to manifest itself in contemporary society. Over the years, the issue of aggression in adolescents has kept the concerns of sociologists, criminologists, teachers and psychologists awake. Aggression in delinquent adolescents is treated as a form of adolescent offensive behavior, with many facets, with a causal diversity and forms of manifestation, constituting the reaction to an opposition, real or only imaginary from others.
