Teachers play several roles in school but also at community/society level. Over the years, the role of the teacher has undergone significant changes, being adapted to social requirements. Beyond the progress in the field of education, the continuous discussions on the role and competences of the contemporary teacher, it is certain that the efficiency of the teaching and learning processes depend,to a large extent,on the activity of the teachers. It is emphasized that today we are living in a period of major transformations in the context of the Covid - 19 pandemic, which puts peopl e, activities and institutions to the test. According to the theories of representative democracy and participatory democracy, participation is associated with the understanding of democracy and the relationship between citizens and the state. At the same time, the term civic engagement includes several meanings such as participation, involvement, cooperation, responsibility, commitment etc. We conclude that civic engagement can manifest itself in various forms -individual volunteering, community involvement efforts, organizational involvement, which can include the direct approach to a problem through personal work, community activity or involvement in the work of representative democracy institutions. Civic engagement implies not only the willingness to engage actively, but also the skills necessary to participate, to correlate the rights with the respective res ponsibilities.Item THE TEACHER'S COMMUNICATION ABILITY IN THE CLASSROOM CONTEXT(CEP USM, 2020) Kakoon, Katy; Bodrug-Lungu, ValentinaThis article is dedicated to training the communication skills of teachers who work with students at risk of dropping out of school. In our research we have developed a new model, which we call the “Playful Model”, which provides a practical way to increase the motivation of students at risk, as well as teachers, by implementing a series of five steps, which are = mutually reinforcing and together create a circle of motivation for learning. Thus, the ability to inspire and awaken motivation consists in the ability to see, create and strengthen the connections that exist between different steps and different actions, respectively. Thus, being offered a complex approach to didactic communication.Item POLITICILE EDUCAŢIONALE PRIN PRISMA DE GEN – REPERE FUNDAMENTALE ALE POLITICII NAŢIONALE DE ASIGURARE A EGALITĂŢII DE GEN(CEP USM, 2009) Bodrug-Lungu, ValentinaEducation for democracy is a factor for social cohesion, mutual understanding, and solidarity, it contributes to promoting the principle of equality between men and women, and it encourages the establishment of harmonious gender relations, as well as the development of democratic society and culture.Item ASPECTE DE GEN ÎN PREGĂTIREA CADRELOR DIDACTICE(CEP USM, 2007) Bodrug-Lungu, ValentinaSocial importance and legal background of establishment of gender education paradigm is based on transition from sex-role approach in education (which reduces the development of a person to feminine/masculine biology) to a gender approach (which over passing the biologic determinism offers a person more chances of personal and professional autoappreciation). All of the above by all means imply significant changes in consideration of educational phenomena, content and educational technologies, training of didactic staff gender sensitive. Gender sensibility stipulates for capacity of a teacher to understand, realized and model the impact of social environment, methods and types of work with a child in forming gender identity, his/her capacity to realize and react to sexist manifestations.
