The role of the teacher in the process of shaping man was and is perhaps the most important, both in the past (when the teacher was considered the center of attention) and in the present (where learning is student-centered). By placing his students in various instructional situations, he transforms the educational institution “into a temple and a laboratory” (M. Eliade). Starting from literature in the field (Cerghit, Mucchielli), teaching methods are historically divided into traditional methods and modern methods. Not everything that is old is necessarily outdated, just as not everything that is new is modern. It is easier for the teacher in the traditional type of teaching, but the education reform emphasizes the importance of switching the emphasis from the informative side of the educational process to the formative one. A successful methodology involves the interweaving of the two models, having different proportions between them, depending on the objectives pursued, the collective, and the learning content.
