    SEMNALĂRI NOI ÎN GRUPUL PEDERINELOR (COLEOPTERA, PAEDERINAE, STAPHYLINIDAE) DIN REPUBLICA MOLDOVA

    In the paper are presented two new species from the subfam. Paederinae (order Coleoptera, family Staphylinidae) found in the natural habitats of the Republic of Moldova. 1. Medon piceus (Kraatz, 1858), a species with eurytopic distribution, populates forest areas, appearing sporadically. 2. Astenus discopunctatus (Say, 1831), adventive species, detected in the oak forest litter mixed with hornbeam. For each species are described, the collection points, status, morphological features, geographical distribution, accentuation of the bioecological category, the place of maintenance in the collection: Coleoptera, Staphylinidae.

    Annual, the environmental conditions in the Republic of Moldova take on a changing hue with various peaks of manifestation of the presence during the seasonal period. This aspect re flects a direct influence on the staphylinid fauna in various biotopes on the territory of the Repu blic of Moldova. The short lived and heavy rains in May they emphasized the population accu mulations of various insect species in the vegetative floors of some agrocenoses. In a the given case, the paper presents a sequence from the collections of staphylinids gathered during the years 2021 - 2023, namely from the vine sector in Cocieri village, Dubăsari district. Philonthus lepidus (Gravenhorst, 1802), the staphylinid from ord. Coleoptera, subfam. Staphylininae, fam. Staphylinidae it is the species reported for the first time on the territory of our country. As a basic element of the topic discussed in the paper, the species is included in the numerical composition of staphylinids from the general study list operated annually by specialists in the field. For a more detailed knowledge of the species mentioned in the premiere, the following characteristics are presented in the paper: place of detection, species status, morphological aspects, geographical distribution, bioecology, place of preservation in the scientific collection.
