Several foresight studies, launched lately, mention cardinal changes, both at the level of skills and in the professions, for the future. Regarding the disappearance of librarian, documentary and archivist professions, the main arguments are the digitization of all libraries and archives - these infodocumentary institutions provide remote access to any information 24 hours, 7 days a week. Creativity will become one of the first three skills of specialist staff. The avalanche of new products, new technologies and new ways of working demand more creativity in order to benefit from these changes. In order to understand the professional competencies required for librarians from different types of libraries, as well as to better understand the trends and needs of professional training of the infodocumentary specialists in the Republic of Moldova, the Association of Librarians of the Republic of Moldova (ABRM) realized at the end of the year 2015 the Research Studying the training needs of library specialists.Item AUTODEZVOLTAREA BIBLIOTECARILOR – CONDIŢIE SINE QUA NON A EVOLUŢIEI PROFESIONALE(2014) Țurcan, NellyThe field of librarianship is ever expanding and changing, from exploding information technologies, to diverse groups of users with increasingly complex information needs.
