The article reviews the approaches to the possibility of classifying the results of scientific projects. Definitions and criteria for their identification are proposed, the advantages of results systematization in different phases
of R&D activity are presented, which in turn sets prerequisites for standardized reporting on scientific achievements. As a result of the research, 108 types of scientific results were identified. These can be subsequently capitalised upon/
validated in different ways. The results of R&D activities have been in turn classified, depending on the publication method (34 types), protection mode (8) and the manifestation mode (47). The classification is open and is proposed to the scientific community as a draft for public discussion.
