The planktonic algae of the Răut river in the researched sector is represented by 32 species of algae from 3 phyla: Chlorophyta 15 species, Bacillariophyta 8, Chrisophyta 3, Euglenophyta 6. In the plankton of the tributaries, 23 species from 2 phyla were identified: Chlorophyta 18 species, Euglenophyta 5. The vernal planktonic algae of the 3 lakes in the urban ecosystem Balti is represented by 31 species of algae from 5 phyla: Cyanophyta 5 species, Chlorophyta 15, Bacillariophyta 6, Pyrrophyta 2, Euglenophyta 3.
