Breeding of comon wheat (Triticum Aestivum) in the central part of RM [Articol]
(Editura USM, 2025) Gore, Andrei; Leatamborg, Svetlana; Rotari, Silvia
During 2023-24 year we have studied 920 lines of wheat in selection field and the best of them were sowed in control and competition field. The best of them Bijuteria Zîmbrenilor as productivity and quality have been transferred to the State Commission for Crops Variety Testing. This sort of wheat has a productivity potential of 8,4- 9,0 t/ha and is zoned in all 3 agricultural parts of the Republic Moldova since 2025. It had gotten the volume of bread 646 cm3 with porose crumb and smooth upper crust on the bread, better than M 5.

Study of variability in productivity elements of winter triticale collection [Articol]
(Editura USM, 2025) Leatamborg, Svetlana; Rotari, Silvia; Gore, Andrei
Arid conditions, which are increasingly common in the world, have a negative impact on the development of agricultural crops and pose a great threat to the implementation of potential plant productivity. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to evaluate collection variety samples for economically valuable traits and to select promising genotypes for use in the breeding process. This article presents the results of a study of 36 triticale variety samples of different geographical origins for the main economically valuable traits (plant height, main spike length, number of spikelets per spike, number of grains, grain weight and 1000-grain weight). Analysis of the productivity elements of the studied samples revealed high variability in the number of grains and grain weight per spike, which makes it possible to select valuable genotypes. Promising samples have been identified based on individual productivity traits and their complex for targeted use in selection of parental pairs included in hybridization.

Testing of a biopreparation based on Bacillus amyloliquefaciens for winter wheat protection against diseases [Articol]
(2025) Scerbacova, Tatiana; Curiev, Loredana; Stingaci, Aurelia; Gore, Andrei
The results of the testing of the biological fungicide based on the bacteria Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, strain FZB24 to protect the winter wheat variety Moldova-614 from the complex of pathogens in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova. The research was carried out on the experimental field of the IGFPP of SUM. Two preparation consumption norms were tested: 2 kg/ha and 2,5 kg/ha. Used once by the spraying method. As a result, the biological efficiency against Blumeria graminis was 89,0% and 94,7%, Septoria tritici – 85,0% and 91,7%, respectively, Puccinia reconditа – 94,7% and 94.9%. Reduced development of other wheat diseases may be possible.

Valorificarea liniilor noi de grâu durum de toamnă ca donator de caractere valoroase
(CEP USM, 2024-10-07) Rotari, Silvia; Gore, Andrei; Leatamborg, Svetlana
In the result of researching after the qualitative characters (mass per 1000 grains, hectolitric mass, grain germination, percentage of glassy and the harvest of lines on 5m2 were selected 10 lines of winter durum wheat. All the studied lines showed themselves in different ways according to certain signs. The analysis of the morphological characters and the productivity of the ear, of the studied lines revealed a high variability of the number of stems, by the number of grains, their weight and mass per 1000 grains that offer us possibilities to select the genotypes of interest after these characters. As a result of studying the above-named characters, we selected a new initial material, which was used in intraspecific hybridization in order to create a new material with high productivity and resistance to environmental factors.
