ASPECTE RELAȚIONALE MEDIC-PACIENT ÎN MANAGEMENTUL PERSOANELOR CU FOBIE DENTARĂ

Abstract

Acest articol abordează importanța relației medic-pacient, analizând aspec te specifice medicinei dentare, statutul social al medicului, importanța cunoașterii particularităților psihologice ale pacientului, abilitatea de comunicare a medicului și manifestarea empatiei față de pacient. Deoarece aproximativ 70% din populația ge nerală a globului pământesc au frică de medicul stomatolog și intervențiile acestuia, este destul de relevant studiul relației dintre medicul stomatolog și pacient. O relație bună medic-pacient este în sine un act terapeutic, care va condiționa un tratament sto matologic eficient și va diminua evitarea cabinetului stomatologic de către pacienții dentofobi.This article addresses the importance of the doctor-patient relationship, analyzing specific aspects of dentistry, the social status of the doctor, the importance of knowing the psychological characteristics of the patient, the doctor’s ability to communicate and the empathy of the patient. Because about 70% of the general population of the globe is afraid of dentists and their interventions are quite relevant to study the relationship between the dentist and the patient. A good doctor-patient relationship is in itself a therapeutic act, which will condition an effective dental treatment and will reduce the avoidance of the dental office by dentophobic patients.
