Abstract

The concept of national landscape valorization is closely related to the issue of assessing landscape diversity and monitoring them for the purpose of protecting and managing natural and culturalheritage. The holistic approach to this concept involves capitalizing on technical and scientific achievements for the perception of space, recognizing landscape elements that give aesthetic value to the landscape, but also identifying socio-historical connections and trends in landscape evolution, as an essential component of the living environment for the population. In this sense, anchored in classical methodology, modern methodology in the field of landscape science effectively integrates advanced technologies, opening up new opportunities for identifying and valorizing landscapes at the national level. Classical methods maintain their relevance today, but require modification and updating. Modern methods come to the aid of classical ones, substantially increasing the possibilities of environmental research. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are effective for studying the landscape of the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
