Abstract

The article reveals the need to develop an adequate ideology for the successful promotion of the process of European integration and the formation of European identity among the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. Performing integration, compensatory, motivational and cognitive functions, ideology plays a major role in mobilizing society to achieve a national goal. In this case, this is the successful completion of the project of Moldova’s integration into the European Union. The approval of a single ideology will help clarify the fate of European identity, into the content of which reality throws modern challenges. By practicing ideology, Moldova adapts to the global process of re-ideologization.
