The psychosocial impact of epilepsy on the family involves a multitude of complex repercussions of medical, psychological, economic, educational and social interaction, that can have a profound impact on the quality of life of the patient and his family. A chronic disease with unpredictable seizures such as epilepsy, impacts the whole family causing stress, anxiety, restrictions on activities and social isolation. Epileptic seizures and their consequences affect all aspects of the caregiver’s life - mental, emotional, social relationships, education, employment, financial status and the future. The quality of life of a child with epilepsy depends largely on the attitudes, reactions, education and parental adaptation. The burden of extremely demanding care, usually falls on the mother, who ensures constant and continuous care, the father is overwhelmed by financial demands, and the siblings closely reflect the parents’ condition, becoming more mature and responsible.en
