The influence of self-image and the expectance level in the development of personality represents a quite important and innovating subject for a careful study from she psychological point of view. The self –assessment and the expectance level are such mechanisms that are intensively and constantly researched by the psychologists. Nevertheless, the problem connecting these two entities is little studied, fact that serves as a starting-point for an ample research. So, in this article there is offered a brief presentation of these two proportions, whose contents will serve as an initiation in the scientific approach of this problem. It will be emphasized the fact, that the self-assessment reflects a person’s development level of self-respect, dignity and of a positive attitude towards everything that is connected with his/her ego. The expectances, as well, have a central place in the foundation of certain affective personal and interpersonal relations.en
