In the context of the multidimensional crisis in the world that persists over the last decades, deeply aggravated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the period 2020-2022, and, in the south-eastern European area, as a result of commencement in February 24, 2022 of the last phase of the military invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the issue of social and political modernization becomes organically related to the field of security in the broadest sense of the notion. Therefore, the multiple security aspects, in the context of which social modernization may be possible, can be more easily studied and analyzed through the prism and with the methodologic support specific to the human security conception.en
