FILOSOFIE ȘI LITERATURĂ: REFLECȚII DESPRE ROLUL LOR PENTRU EDUCAȚIA MORALĂ

Abstract

Ne propunem să abordăm dintr-o perspectivă multi și interdisciplinară problematica educației morale la începutul secolului 21. Provocările ultimilor ani arată nevoia acută de educație pentru stimularea altruismului, simpatiei, simțului dreptății și empatiei. Cultivarea atitudinilor și convingerilor tolerante, optimiste și încrezătoare cu ajutorul filosofiei și literaturii poate fi un bun exemplu de bune practici în acest domeniu. Vom trece în revistă câteva teme din literatura ultimilor ani, le vom aborda cu metode și proceduri din filosofie și etică, apoi le vom integra într-o abordare de sinteză care să depășească aspectele strict individuale, ale unei singure discipline (filosofice sau literare) pentru a putea vedea contribuția la mai buna educație morală a elevilor și studenților.We aim to approach from a multi- and inter-disciplinary perspective the issue of moral education at the beginning of the 21st century. The challenges of recent years show the acute need for education to stimulate altruism, sympathy, sense of justice and empathy. Cultivating tolerant, optimistic and confident attitudes and beliefs with the help of philosophy and literature can be a good example of good practice in this area. We will review some themes from the literature of recent years, we will approach them with methods and procedures from philosophy and ethics, then we will integrate them into a synthesis approach that goes beyond the strictly individual aspects of a single discipline (philosophy or literature) for to be able to see the contribution to the better moral education of pupils and students. A tipical issue is the relationship between moral education and the need for moral bio-enhancement techniques and procedures: will moral bio-enhancement replace moral education in a more or less near future? Recent literature deals a great deal with the good and centers around it highly philosophically challenging ideas. For example, Houellebecq builds his last novel (Aneantir) around the idea of the death of reason – so that man's need to find a substitute is more than pressing. Javier Marias raises the question of whether you can do good if you have an ambiguous identity: can you do good if you suffer from what I might call "moral ambiguititis"?
