In the XIIth-XIVth centuries, there was a Romanian state formation, called by neighbors of the Brodnics, Berladnics, etc., on the lower courses of Siret and Prut. It was called Black Wallachia (Little) in oriental sources. In the northwest of the Carpathian-Dniester space, there was a Romanian state formation, named in the second half of the XIVth century Great Wallachia. In 1383-1386, the Principality of Moldova was formed through the unification of Cetatea Albă, Vrancea and Dorohoi to the east of the Carpathians.en
