    GEORGIA’S FOREIGN POLICY IN SHAKE: APPEASEMENT VS EURO-ATLANTISM

    The parliamentary elections in Georgia on October 1, 2012 marked a turning point in the country’s foreign policy, as it moved towards the European integrationist space. The resizing of Georgia’s foreign policy vector is due to the new pro-European government that won the elections. The annexation of the Crimean peninsula in 2014, as well as the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation conditioned the irreversible orientation of Georgia’s foreign policy vector towards the Euro-Atlantic space. The purpose of this article is to highlight the main aspects of Georgia’s foreign policy versus the Euro-Atlantic structures.

    REALIZAREA POLITICII EXTERNE A REPUBLICII MOLDOVA ÎN CONTEXTUL RELAȚIILOR DE COLABORARE CU STATELE VECINE LA ETAPA ACTUALĂ

    La începutul secolului al XXI-lea, când ordinea mondială se conturează în jurul unor poli de putere, este evident faptul că Republica Moldova nu poate rămâne în afara comunităților formate de alte state. Republica Moldova este influențată tot mai mult de procesele care se desfășoară pe mapamond. În calitate de stat care și-a dobândit independența acum 30 de ani, țara noastră încearcă să-și găsească locul în cadrul acestor procese. Studierea priorităților, principalelor rezultate ale politicii externe obținute de către Republica Moldova devine o necesitate și un deziderat al timpului. Astăzi sunt necesare noi viziuni științifice asupra fenomenului politicii externe ale țării noastre în contextul relațiilor de colaborare cu statele vecine. Orientarea spre o cercetare de sinteză, cu o amplă analiză în literatura de specialitate din țara noastră, România și Ucraina, favorizează studiul politicii externe la interferența proceselor integraționiste și a interesului național. În particular, în acest articol vom prezenta succint câteva aspecte de sinteză privind dezvoltarea politică, economică și culturală a Republicii Moldova cu România și Ucraina la nivel comparativ, în special la etapa actuală, trasând unele concluzii și recomandări privind intensificarea dialogului dintre părți.

    The Government of the Republic of Moldova, as a state administration body, elaborates the system of foreign policy priorities, which determines the content of this policy. It sets for thither mediate and prospective goals of foreign policy, determines the ways, method sand means of carrying it out. Although Heads of State have very strong powers in the field of foreign affairs, they rarely establish direct relations with other states, usually acting through governments. It is the government together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration which is in charge of promoting the foreign policy of the state through the maintenance of relations with foreign states and international organizations on a bilateral and multilateral basis.

    DIPLOMAȚIA PUBLICĂ PRIN INTERMEDIUL PROIECTELOR INTERNAȚIONALE: IMPLICAȚII PENTRU REPUBLICA MOLDOVA

    The inevitable processes of globalization, the fast development of information technologies and new global structures have influenced the complexity and diversity of diplomacy tasks. Thus, in order to perceive the actor status, activity, interests and tendencies of the international system, it is not enough to analyse only the political, economic or demographic characteristics of the state. A significant role refers to the state image in the world and the way it is perceived by the foreign public. In this context, public diplomacy has played an important role in the past years and has become more effective in managing inter-state relations. The ineffective strategies and techniques in promoting of country image on international arena, poor access to international funds and lack of experience in implementing international projects in partnership with other states are the main obstacles to achieve effective public diplomacy. At the same time, the subject refers to cooperation between the governing bodies and the civil society in the implementation of international projects, analysing the case of Republic of Moldova.

    IMPACTUL DIMENSIUNII PARLAMENTARE ÎNăREALIГAREA POLITICII EXTERNE A REPUBLICII MOLDOVA

    This study analyzes the main aspects of the impact of the parliamentary dimension in the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova. The structure of the article consists of introduction, historiography and conceptualtheoretical bases of foreign policy and parliamentary diplomacy, cooperations international parliamentary organizations as a platform for the implementation of foreign policy. At the same time, this study examines the specificity of bilateral interparliamentary cooperation as a way to achieve foreign policy.

There are reviewed briefly the main activities of the United Nations in the democracy, economic,social and cultural development, complying international law.It is also considered the cooperation with the Moldovan authorities with the UN structures based in Moldova. The end of the article contains necessary conclusions and certain recommendations are formulated.

    THE EVOLUTION OF REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA RELATIONS WITH ROMANIA (1991–2013)

    In this article the authors comprehensively analyze the evolution of the bilateral relations between Romania and Moldova. Relations between Romania and Moldova, two sovereig n and independent states, have a privileged, particular character, deriving from the community of people, culture, language and national history. Th currently existence of the two separate Romanian states instead of one as a whole, can be explained by the politicl history of the twentieth century, through the international situation that has been created both after the USSR collapse and the socialist camp, and by interests of modern great powers
