Item CARIERA DIPLOMATICĂ. FORMAREA PROFESIONALĂ(CEP USM, 2024) Vîrlan, IulianaThis article examines the diplomatic career, focusing on the training and skills development necessary for success in this field. Through a detailed analysis of educational programs and the typical career path of diplomats, the importance of rigorous and continuous preparation is emphasized. The study examines the education, skills and competencies required of a diplomat and emphasizes the relevance of practical experiences such as internships and diplomatic missions. It also presents the challenges and opportunities facing diplomats in the current global context characterized by dynamism and interdependence. In order to ensure a comprehensive and rigorous analysis of the diplomatic career and the skills required for success in this field, several complementary scientific methods have been used. The conclusions of the article present findings on the continuing professionalization of diplomacy and the importance of its actions on maintaining global peace and stability.Item EDUCATION DURING THE WAR: CHALLENGES FOR UKRAINE(CEP USM, 2023) Maiev, AndriiThe article deals with the problems in the field of education in Ukraine related to the Russian aggression on February 24, 2022. Statistical data are given regarding casualties among the population, damage to infrastructure, migration and budget cuts. In particular, changes in terms of financial resources, redistribution of funds and the need to ensure the safety of participants in the educational process are analyzed. Attention is paid to the role of international cooperation, support for Ukrainian educational institutions by European partners through academic mobility programs, and free online learning opportunities. In this context, conclusions are drawn regarding the prospects for solving urgent problems in the field of education and the necessary preconditions for achieving this goal.Item DEZVOLTAREA RESURSELOR UMANE: RELAȚIA DINTRE INVESTIȚIA ÎN EDUCAȚIE ȘI CREȘTEREA ECONOMICĂ A UNEI ȚĂRI(CEP USM, 2023) Diaconu (Maxim), Laura; Popescu, Cristian C.This article starts from the idea that, although human capital has a very important role in the process of economic development, not every accumulation of this factor, by increasing the level and quality of education, generates economic growth. Based on qualitative analysis, we will try to demonstrate that, in the case of Romania, the problem of financing education must be rethought according to the correlations between the stage of development and the need of labor force. We will show that, no matter how much Romanian tertiary education is financed, the expected economic effects will not be achieved as long as there is no qualitative revolution at the primary and secondary level.
