Item UE ȘI PROVOCĂRILE SALE ÎN MATERIE DE SECURITATE CIBERNETICĂ(CEP USM, 2024) Andronache, Ana MariaTo respond to changing security challenges, the EU and its Member States have to strengthen cyber resilience and to develop robust cyber security and defence capabilities. Cyberspace is a rapidly developing domain and new technological developments need to be supported, both in the civilian and military domains. Last, but not least, enhancing cooperation with international partners could help enhance cybersecurity within the EU and beyond, and to promote EU principles and values. This paper aims to provide an informative primer on the relevant issues facing UE in relation to cybersecurity because cybersecurity is not optional. It must form part of the design of every product, of every database, of every electronic communication. And – through education, awareness, and proactive change – we can all play a part in securing our future. Analysis of attacks over the years has revealed that cybercriminals work together exceptionally well: sharing knowledge of exploits, selling stolen data in an open market, and working together to develop new hacking techniques for infiltration. That is why the EU needs to act on different fronts to promote cyber resilience.Item IMPORTANȚA ASIGURĂRII SECURITĂȚII CIBERNETICE ÎN CADRUL DOMENIULUI POLITIC. PROBLEME, RISCURI ȘI NOI OPORTUNITĂȚI(CEP USM, 2022-05-14) Busuncian, Tatiana; Moldovan, IonIn the 21st century, the age of new scientific technologies when humanity has reached a high level of computing technology development and interconnectivity, in addition to many multidimensional uses, we have come across a multitude of problems that were not preeminent until recently. Indeed, the requirement to maintain security in the cybernetic dimension has become equally vital for individuals, companies and organizations, both at the national and global levels. This paper aims, considering the aspect of ensuring high level of cybersecurity, to provide a multidimensional and equidistant analysis and identify central issues in the field: the problem of critical infrastructure, electronic voting, darknet and transnational hacking groups.
