Item ACCESSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA TO THE EUROPEAN UNION WITH OR WITHOUT A DEFINED STATUS OF THE TRANSNISTRIAN REGION(CEP USM, 2024) Cara, EugenThis scientific article aims to analyze the perspective of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova in the context of the unresolved Transnistrian conflict, a controversial public topic, starting with the establishment of its first relations with the European Union until today, when Chisinau began accession negotiations. Some voices strongly believe that Moldova’s accession to the European Union is conditional on the final and sustainable settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, because neither the territorial conflict nor the Russian army, which has been illegally stationed in the country for over three decades, can be imported into the European Union, or, the accession without the Transnistrian region could mean Chisinau ceding a part of the state territory, where about 360 thousand of its citizens live. A part of society, on the contrary, claims that the European Union has never conditioned its expansion by a priori solving the territorial problems faced by the candidate countries, and the Transnistrian conflict is a lever of Moscow’s influence to block the European path of the Republic of Moldova. The analysis, in essence, of the problem of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova in the context of the Transnistrian conflict allowed the formulation of some conclusions that could contribute positively to the achievement of the country’s European accession goal.Item SECURITATEA REGIONALĂ ÎN CONTEXTUL VULNERABILITĂȚII REGIUNII MĂRII NEGRE. This article analyzes the presence of vulnerabilities in the Black Sea basin and their impact on regional security.Item DIALOGUL CIVILIZAŢIONAL ÎN CONTEXTUL PROCESULUI DE GLOBALIZARE: TEORIA LUI S.P. HUNTINGTON LA 20 DE ANI(CEP USM, 2013) Lavric, AurelianGlobalizarea este contextul internaţional contemporan şi vizează procese integraţioniste ale economiei mondiale, interacţiuni culturale ş.a. În 1993 Samuel P. Huntington a publicat articolul „The Clash of Civilazations?”, în care a prezentat teoria lumii multipolare ce s-a instituit după sfârşitul Războiului Rece. La baza fiecăreia dintre cele 9 civilizaţii Huntington a pus o religie (confesiune). Cercetătorul a semnalat posibile conflicte între comunităţi aparţinând diferitelor civilizaţii. Aşa dar, în noul context, de o importanţă vitală este dialogul civilizaţional, care trebuie purtat pentru asigurarea securităţii internaţionale. Acesta poate îmbrăca diverse forme: întruniri ale liderilor bisericilor, festivaluri, programe mass-media şi schimburi de experienţă („people to people”) ş.a. La 20 de ani de la publicarea teoriei lui Huntington, prezentul ne arată că trendul în relaţiile internaţionale este de consolidare a organizaţiilor internaţionale, din care fac parte state din diferite civilizaţii. Republica Moldova, plasată de Huntington în civilizaţia Slavo-Ortodoxă, poate să se integreze în spaţiul civilizaţional occidental.
