    The aim of the research is to analyze the conflict between totalitarianism and democracy in the process of democratic transition from the perspective of Eastern Europe, including the Republic of Moldova. The scientific novelty of the work is derived from the general-global impact of the transition, which influenced the transitional specific of the Republic of Moldova, within its state of transition for 29 years.
