The significance of the notion of incompatibility consists in the prohibition of the law to cumulate two functions in order to ensure the independence of action of the person in charge of public office, avoiding the concentration of one and the same person on excessive prerogatives and the protection of professional integrity And moral. From the analysis of the content of legal texts in the matter it follows that the basis for establishing incompatibilities regimes for public functions and public dignity are the following: the principle of the separation of powers, the avoidance of conflicts of interests, the exigencies related to the exercise of those functions.

The reformation of public administration, including local administration, has become one of the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Moldo- va, and one of the most important components of the respective reform is that of local public finances. Aiming the presentation of the current achievements in the process of reformation of local public finances in the Republic of Moldova, in the article there are also approached the subsequent perspectives and chal- lenges related to the assurance of the durability of the respective reform.
