    Collection fund of species and cultivars of plants Nigella L. Genius in M.M.Gryshko National Botanical Garden of NAS of Ukraine

    A review of domestic and foreign literature, electronic resources on the origin, distribution and directions of use of plants of the Nigella genus was carried out. The results of the long-term introduction and selection work carried out in the of cultural flora department of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden in the context of the creation of a collection fund of species and cultivars of plants of the Nigella genus from different centers of origin and as a result of its own selection work are highlighted. The distribution of plant samples by morphogroups was carried out based on the assessment of their biometric parameters and morphological features, which in the future makes it possible to determine genotypes promising for breeding research.

    The role of silicon in improving the biotrophic characteristics of the soil

    The role of siliceous fertilizer (based on silt deposits and siliceous minerals) in improving the biotrophic characteristics of the soil and the physiological state of oil crops were clarified. The positive influence of silicon on the microbiological activity and agrochemical properties of the soil, the allelopathic potential of the root environment and the adaptability of false flax (or camelina), Ethiopian mustard and spring rapeseed plants under stressful environmental conditions were established.
