It is mentioned that besides some new possibilities of improvement, contemporary were introduced several new disciplines, which removed or decreased the hours for other traditional, but specially useful, disciplines, that contribute to the formation of the economist figure as such. It is shown the necessity of inventorying the situation, namely the substanti al reduction of the number of disciplines, excluding auxiliary or duplicating ones, and at the same time correspondingly increasing the time fund for the basic disciplines (Statistics, for example). It is also necessary to introduce new disciplines (like the Economy of the Republic of Moldova). This would contribute to the increase of the professionalism of the graduates and to the increased "demand" of them by the economic entities.
